To find out you can search the Bermudian Status Register using the Status Checker below or consult it at the Department of Immigration offices.

You will need to be registered before you can have your passport stamped.

If your name appears on the Register there is no charge to have your passport stamped.

If your Bermudian status cannot be verified, this does not mean that you are not Bermudian; we just cannot confirm you as such. Therefore you must apply to be added to the Bermudian status register. You must complete a Bermudian status 5(2) form which is available to you on the status checker. Once you have completed the form, you may submit the form together with a fee of $12 and your long-form birth certificate (i.e. with your parents' names on it) and it will be processed as soon as possible.

You may either mail the form or visit our offices. If you mail the application, our address is Department of Immigration, P.O. Box HM1364, Hamilton HM FX.
